Mastermind Guidelines

1. You must commit to attend every meeting.  Missing 3 meetings will result in being removed from the group.
2. Be prepared.  Complete the tasks you’ve outlined in your Goal Setting portion of the meeting; hold others accountable for doing their tasks, too.
3. Always display a positive and supportive attitude.
4. Appreciate and respect the other person’s perspective, even if it’s not your own.
5. No arguing.
6. Only give advice that comes from experience.  Ideas and assumptions should not be shared unless you have tried them yourself.  If you do share an un-tested idea, always give the disclaimer that it is un-tested.
7. When someone is in the “hot seat,” listen quietly with respect.  No side conversations or comments.
8. No interruptions.  Cell phones should be off or on silent. No texting.
9. No hogging of time.
10. Mastermind group time is not a time to constantly complain about life; it’s a time to work towards creating the life you want.
11. Be willing to gently confront other members when they are not seeing the big picture, living up to their dreams, or justifying their lack of action or poor decision making.
12. Don’t settle for the status quo; challenge yourself and other to grow; set big goals and help other to set big goals.
13. Leave your ego at the door.  Be open to the advice of others, and consider that your way of doing something may not be the best way.
14. Encourage and support others who are stuck or down about something; remind them about past successes
15. This is not a therapy session; don’t bring highly-charged emotional problems to the group for the group to solve.
16.  Membership in the GKIC Insider's Circle (at least Gold level) is required for participation in the group.  We must all be exposed to the same techniques and marketing philosophy to be able to effectively help each other.
